the aliusmodum ensemble embodies the musical dreams of andrea riderelli and cipriana smarandescu to set up a group made of the most remarkable musicians in rome, interested first and foremost in the baroque repertoire

from a stylistic perspective, aliusmodum focuses not only on rendering an authentic Baroque atmosphere, but also on a very high level of performance, based on a thorough knowledge of the technique and style of that epoch, everything with a fresh, vibrant musical touch

the selection of the ensemble members was therefore made with their rich relevant experience in mind, since they have proven their performance skills in numerous concerts and recordings at home and abroad.

mention should also be made of the use of faithful replicas of baroque instruments, a fact which greatly contributes to the re-creation for a modern audience of the sounds and spirit of those times.

the aliusmodum ensemble stylistic goals have been illustrated in their 2004-2005 concerts, which took place in rome: ”Les Muses Francaises“, ”Bach – un retorico degli affetti“, ”1685 ovvero delle historiche concordanze“ and ”Lascia ch’io pianga“.
